Vincent Ventresca in “The Beast”

vincentventresca3

Vincent Ventresca guest starred this week in A&E’s The Beast in the episode entitled “Nadia.”  A&E repeats their episodes so you still have a chance to see this on TV.  According to the schedule, “Nadia” will air on the following dates (but do make sure to check the schedule in your own area):

  • Saturday, January 31, at 11:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 1, at 3:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday, February 3, at 11:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 4, at 3:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, February 8, at 4:00 p.m.

You can also watch the full episode online.  I’m not sure how long A&E keeps their episodes up, but I imagine the episode should be available for viewing for at least a couple of weeks.

Vincent Ventresca Sighting Tonight!

Vincent VentrescaThis is very last minute and I realize that for those of you on the East coast this may be coming too late, but I just found out that Vincent Ventresca is a guest on tonight’s episode of In Plain Sight!  Yep, Vince and Paul in the same show again.  How cool is that?!  I wonder if they will have any interaction?

In Plain Sight is on tonight at 10:00 p.m. (9:00 p.m. Central) on USA.  The episode is entitled “Hoosier Daddy” (how fitting).  If for some reason you missed it, do check the In Plain Sight website for air dates of repeats of this episode.

Last, but by all means not least, I want to give Elaine a big huge thanks for giving me the heads up on this.

“Monk” Available On Demand

Melissa has informed me that the Monk episode entitled “Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees” is currently available on Comcast On Demand in the TV Entertainment section.  So if you are a Comcast customer, here’s another chance to catch the episode that Vince is in.  Thanks for passing on the info, Melissa!

Follow Up to “Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees”

So wasn’t it great to see Vince back on TV again?  My only complaint was that the episode ended too quickly!

If you missed the episode, don’t worry.  You still have a few more chances to catch it on the USA network.  Note the following dates and times when this episode will be reaired and do check your local listings as usual.

  • Saturday, August 11, 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, August 13, 1:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, August 19, 9:00 a.m.

If you’ve already seen the episode or you don’t mind spoilers, you can read a full synopsis of the episode over at the Episode Guide.  If you click on the Episode Gallery link just below the picture, you’ll find a picture of Vince among the stills from the episode.

If you’re interested in the writing process for this episode, you might want to watch the Writer Commentary video with writer Peter Wolk. And, yes, it’s full of spoilers too.

Vince Guest Stars in “Monk”

Vincent VentrescaYou’ll want to make sure you’re home this Friday night because Vincent Ventresca will be guest starring in a brand new episode of Monk this coming Friday, August 10, at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. central on USA.  As usual, be sure to check your local listings for the time and channel in your area.

The name of the episode is entitled “Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees.”  In it Vince plays the role of Rob Sherman.

Logline:  Monk tries to prove a sports agent is guilty of murder while helping Natalie’s teenage daughter, Julie, with her love life.

You can catch a brief glimpse of Vince in this clip from the upcoming episode.

“Sorry” Update

Mike Halper of Ascentia Films has informed me that the new and improved version of Sorry is now up and ready to view.  You can watch the film at the Ascentia Films website.  If you have Internet Explorer, you might have trouble getting the film to play.  It loaded for me in IE7, but not IE6.  I also played the film in both Netscape and Mozilla Firefox and it worked fine with no problems.

Vincent Ventresca in “Sorry”

I’m very pleased to finally be able to bring you news of Vincent Ventresca’s lastest film.  If you recall, back in March I blogged about a film that Vince was starring in called Sorry.  At the time I didn’t know much about the film, nor did I know that because of film festival rules, no promotion on external websites was allowed.  Oops.  So, in deference to the film festival rules, I’ve been sitting on updates about this project for several months.  Now, finally, I can tell all of you about this cool little film.

Sorry was created specifically for the DVXuser.com Spy Fest Short Film Festival.  This online contest required that the submitted entries have a spy theme, be no longer than six minutes, and the central character be named Rob or Robin.  Filmmakers had only three months to get their entries made.

Sorry stars Vince as Robin Tasker.  It was written, produced, and directed by Joe Dietl.  DP (Director of Photography) Mike Halper of Ascentia Films asked me to tell you that the film was rushed in order to meet the submission deadline and is not quite finished.  Improvements to the visual effects, sound effects, and music are in the works.  Mike said he will let me know when the new version is available so that you can watch it.

Everyone involved in this short did a great job, and it looks like others thought so too since it just won third place at the DVX User Spy Fest Film Festival.  Congratulations to cast and crew!

I want to give a big thanks to Joe Dietl and Mike Halper for allowing me to share the following poster, behind the scenes pictures, and screen captures with you.  I had to do some resizing and cropping to get these pictures to fit on the page, but if you want to see a larger and uncropped view, go to the photo gallery page.

Videos by Danielle

A few years back there existed a really great website dedicated to Vincent Ventresca called vincentventresca.net.  The site was attractive, well organized, and a fan could find virtually everything about Vince’s roles and career there. Danielle, a very talented fan, created and ran the site.

Well, life got busy for Danielle and the website is no more, but a whole slew of her videos she either saved or created are residing on YouTube for our enjoyment.  Danielle was kind enough to let me post links to her videos so that you can easily find and enjoy them too.  She’s got a great assortment of videos.

To start things off, here’s the actual trailer used to advertise the pilot of The Invisible Man.

Here’s a great interview with Vince where he answers questions from the old Invisible Man bboard.  The audio seems to be a bit out of sync and it abruptly stops after seven minutes, but it’s still worth watching.
